While the paint dries….

Here is a peek at the close to finalized version. A few minor details have changed and you will be able to see this in the flesh during Art Hop. I will post the artist statement this week.

Floored at last…

Today was all about the floor and I finally finished it. Working my way from right to left, wood grain detail to less detail, I can see it all coming together now. Next up, finishing all of the figures, men, women and children. I also need to add one more gun.

Progress

After yesterday, I could only work half the amount of time and that included a 2 hour nap on my studio couch. 1 hour of painting + 2 hour nap + 3 more hours of painting = progress

8 hours of progress

It was a very productive day and now I am tired. I need some calcium carbonate to mix with my white so that I can get the glow of the ATM light with red and blue. I should have brought some home from Zecchi’s in Florence. Minor detail to deal with later
